Fair enough.
The point of reviews is to share your experiences: the good and the bad. Not everyone will have the same experience either, reviews are meant to give a hard and honest look at some of the different patterns, kits, and tools in the cross stitch community. As with anything, one review is one user's opinion. Give something a try and see if you feel the same! If not, write a glowing review for the item :)
The reason for the rules surrounding the reviews is we'd like to see in depth and "good" reviews. We don't want a one sentence "review" of a store, pattern, tool, or kit. We want it in depth! How hard was it to make? What's involved (cross stitches, back stitches, french knots)? Was it fun to make? What could be improved on? Was it great the way it was? The point of the reviews are to get some great information from someone about an item we're also interested in - the more info the better!
Agree! We'd love for it to become a discussion! Especially in the case of the first mentioned post where a user ragged on a particular kit. We'd love to get different sides of the story! Maybe a way for that to happen is for someone to review a highly popular pattern (Hogwarts crest, She Persisted)...
Absolutely! We'll go through our templates and make sure we have one for stitching accessories!
Great idea! We'll add it to the FAQ/How To!
