Craft Fairs
While it seems like the majority of users have never experienced one of our craft fairs, very few said they didn't like them so we're glad that it appears to be a fun activity!
We have craft fairs every two or three months in lieu of a featured designer. This is the time for all of our resident designers (users of the sub that have stores) to shine and advertise their stores! Many times they even include a discount or free pattern!
According to the majority of respondents the craft fairs happen on a good schedule. For those that responded no we're hoping that the addition of the Continuous Craft Fair will help scratch that craft fair itch when they're not currently happening!

Comments, Questions, Concerns Regarding Craft Fairs
Here we wanted to respond to some of the comments we received during the SOS Survey.
"I don't know how one would mod this, so maybe that's why we don't do it, but I think people should be able to post about their store, idk, once per quarter? If it's too difficult to mod, then the CCF is fine. All that said, I can't find any designers in the CCF listed in the FAQ doc and don't know if it's live somewhere else?"
The CCF (Continuous Craft Fair) will be available soon in the FAQ/How To and in a link on the sidebar! The CCF will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year! It will be much easier to find our Resident Designers here once we've got it up and running :)
"I didn't know it existed, because the posts are drowned out by posts of cartoons/video games. "
The craft fair is always a stickied post so you should be able to find it at the top of the subreddit, no matter how many posts or what kinds of posts are going on at the same time as one.
"I never cared about it much but if the new craft fair idea is going to happen, why would you need another post every couple of months? Seems like over-promotion. "
A big part of us wanting to still have a craft fair every two-four months is for mod communication. Those threads are an easy way for us to also communicate important changes and things to the subscribers since we're only allowed two stickied posts at a time and those are designated for the Featured Designer and Monthly Competition. It's also nice to have a reminder every few months of what type of stuff is always in the CCF for those that may be unaware of it!
