Unit 3, Activity 1: Design Project to Accomplish Goal*
1. Go to page 3 of your Digital Journal to add the following plan information:
- Description: detailed information about what will happen, who is involved, who will do what - ex: All 8th graders will participate in the Global Read Aloud both as a read aloud and a novel study during ELA class and weekly library visits...
- Timeline: actions, meetings, connections - ex: August/September: contact other GRA educators to partner...
- Resources: list of print, digital, and/or people materials needed to make it happen - ex: 20 copies of book...
- Communication: how you will tell your story before, during and after - ex: school Facebook posts
2. Questions about designing your project? Let's collaborate! Post your questions to the Reaching Out Facebook Group. Follow and respond to the questions of your classmates if you are able to help.
*The term "project" is used generically to mean activity, program, procedure. It may occur once or become a permanent part of your library practice. For example, I may choose to participate in the Global Read Aloud again but select a different grade level to work with on it.
