The fracture module uses the "Cell Fracture" addon to generate the fractures. But it is a "Cell Fracture" modified by RBDLab Studio. The fracturing speed is considerably faster, and in addition to the fracturing, a multitude of steps are done to add attributes to the chunks. In this way, RBDLab can generate a multitude of details in the simulations. For example, when chunks are fractured, each chunk detects which is its neighbor chunk. This will be very useful to generate later the particles (Debris).
In the "Source" options, you can choose from which source the fractures will be generated. RBDLab automatically manages these options, depending on the type of fracturing chosen (Scatter, Texture, Organic, Annotation, etc...).
Max Chunks indicates the maximum number of fractures you want to get with the Scatter created in your geometry.
The scale and direction can be varied to generate different types of fractures.
Another example by changing the scale on different axes.
