Philosophy 

The RAVSTASS Athlete Support Program (RASP) was designed in order to assist athletes generate revenue in order to allay the costs of their sports. As a Multi-Sport Association, there are many sports, which do not have the foundational support of a team structure. For these Athletes, the RASP program was envisaged to be able to connect them with the RAVSTASS Association, and thereby enable them to benefit from our supporting systems, as with our teams. Although the RASP was formed in order to support individual athletes, it is also open to athletes in formed teams.

Selection Process 

RASP Candidates can submit their nomination via the form on the https://ravstass.com/pages/athletes page. 

The respective Division Director has the delegated authority of the Vice President to select RASP Athletes, in accordance with Division Director Priorities.

Tracking of Financial Transactions  

The Treasurer creates a Finance Code for the Athlete. 

Generating Revenue  

The Treasurer creates a product page for the Athlete. See examples here: https://ravstass.com/collections/athletes. The Athlete is free to forward their Athlete page link in order to seek donations. 

Cash Balance  

The Treasurer will distribute the monthly finance report, which will include coded line item for each RASP member. 

Spending Funds  

Provided the RASP member has a sufficient positive cash balance,  they may spend their cash balance in one of two (2) ways:

1. Paying Invoice. Instruct supplier (e.g. business) to send sport related invoice to RAVSTASS for payment on the members behalf. See Invoice process here.
The Treasurer will confirm with the RASP member, that the invoice is legitimate, before processing against the members coded line item.  

2. Reimbursement. Claiming a reimbursement for expense already incurred that is related to the members sports activities. See Reimbursement process here.
