Also called the AOS or the Kelvin timeline, this variation of E-ST1966 is thought by many to have diverged from the main timeline when a Romulan mining vessel, known as the Narada, accidentally entered an artificially created blackhole and traveled back in time. The significant changes the Narada made to the timeline caused the whole dimension to branch out into a new dimension variation. However, this idea ignores some details, such as the difference in subject J. Kirk's date of birth. In the original ST1966 timeline, subject J. Kirk was born two months later than in ST2009. This hints at a possible earlier, unknown divergence.
Subject J. Kirk is the captain of the Starship Enterprise. The Ranger Rabbits have been able to gather a large amount of data about subject J. Kirk and his crew due to their above average number of encounters with various temporal anomalies as well as the large amount of universe variations created from these encounters.
Subject S. Spock is the chief science officer and first officer aboard the USS Enterprise, serving under subject J. Kirk. This subject is somewhat of an anomaly himself since he is part-Vulcan, but is still an echo-point. Unlike humans, Vulcans rarely become echo points as they are content to live out their lives in "logical," predictable patterns.
Also serving aboard the USS Enterprise, subject N. Uhura is the chief communications officer.
As the chief medical officer aboard the USS Enterprise, subject L. McCoy is often in the middle of the major events of this timeline.

Where Subject N. Uhura interacts with people from farther back in her own timeline. Possibly from before the split with ST1966. Further research on the time travel dynamics of branching universes is required.
