The purpose of this page is to help people using the Archive to understand our methodology and terminology that we have used. Below you will find some helpful explanations of the content on the Archive. If you feel we have left anything out, or would like more information about out methodology, please contact us via electronic communique at RabbitRangerArchivists@archive.gov.
You will notice that the various universe mentioned on the archive have been assigned a code made of letters and numbers. For example, our own universe is E-1.
The first letter of the code determines the existence, or prominence, of the planet Earth. Universe that begin with the letter "E" show that Earth takes a prominent place in the information we have retrieved from that universe. Universes that begin with the letter "G" show that either Earth does not exist or that little to no information on Earth's existence is available for that universe.
The letters that follow the dash often represent the colloquial phrase that has come to be associated with that universe in Rabbit society. For example, in E-ST1966, the "ST" refers to "Star Trek."
The number assigned to the universe takes in to account the variation of that universe from the main timeline. You will note that some universes use much bigger numbers than others. This is due to the high number of variations of that universe that have been cataloged.
