The competent teacher builds and maintains collaborative relationships to foster cognitive, linguistic, physical, and social and emotional development. This teacher works as a team member with professional colleagues, students, parents or guardians, and community members.
Something that I learned from this experience was that teamwork really makes the dream work. I really appreciated getting to work with a classmate to create this unit plan and I know that in the future if I am able to, it will be a lot easier for me to co-plan as much as I can with the other teachers on my team.
This email represents both performance indicator 8R and knowledge indicator 8F. It is an email that I sent to the guidance counselor after I had a conversation with two fourth-grade students after lunch. In the email, I talk about how I gave them "conflict resolutions" such as not being by each other during lunch or recess. I also expressed in the email how it would be amazing if the guidance counselor could talk to both of the students because I "understand the importance of problem-solving and knowing different interventions" that would work for both of the girls.
Something that I learned when going through this experience was that there is a lot that goes through the steps of creating a plan for students who are having problems with other students or when situations arise during the year.
