This lesson is where I talked about anxiety and we had a really great discussion after watching a couple of videos. We also talked about what things bring us anxiety and what we can say to lessen our anxiety overall. This lesson was important because I emphasized that everyone had anxiety and why it is important to talk about things that are bothering them and not keep them in. This was a really nice lesson as well because everyone was interested and were engaged almost the whole time as well (4D)
Something I learned after this lesson was that the students really take important issues very seriously. They might goof around a lot but they are people who's emotions are very big and very important. They know what anxiety is and how to talk about it seriously if you give them the chance.
This picture was created very quickly because I loved drawing which the students found out about me quickly and I learned that they love Among Us as well. I drew this as well as the saying on top to create a clear expectation of behavior in the classroom and how I want the students to act. I have pointed to this so many times in the classroom and it made them quiet down very quickly (4J).
Something that I learned when creating this was that I am really going to enjoy bringing coloring and drawings into my classroom. I can also incorporate the students' interests and bring in class expectations at the same time. It means more to them because I am able to relate it to them more.
