Rachael Carpenter

Hey! I'm Rachael Carpenter! I'm currently the Head of Communications Producer for Madison Central's student-run news broadcasting team, Jaguar News Network. I am also a co-design head editor for Madison Central's Yearbook, The Pawprint. I've been given such a privilege to lead these staffs while being a part of Journalism at my High School. I have won awards at previous MSPA conferences for my correspondence, design, editing, and more. Outside of Journalism, I am a member of National Honor Society, Environmental Awareness Club, Women Empowerment Club, and an active leader in my church. I plan to attend the University of Southern Mississippi majoring in nursing with a minor in journalism. I hope to one day get my doctorate of Nursing Practice and teach others to better their nursing through media and journalism.

Photography

I found my love of photography at an early age. In the picture above, I am photographing a football game during my sophomore year. I enjoy seeing memories through the lens of my camera.

Leadership

I have had many opportunities to better myself and my fellow students. I use constructive critism to encourage work and help grow knowledge. In the picture above, I am helping a group of juniors find title ideas.

Correspondence

In the picture above, I had the opportunity to correspond at the Madison Square Center of The Arts. It was a segment about a Christmas play, so I took that opportunity to dress accordingly.
