Dr. Seunguk Song is an Assistant Professor at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in the Department of Energy Science and the Department of Energy. He earned a Ph.D. from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), focusing on the synthesis and electrical characterization of van der Waals material-based heterostructures. As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, he conducted research under the guidance of Prof. Deep Jariwala on wafer-scale integration of 2D/3D heterostructures for ultra-low power logic, memory, and neuromorphic computing. His work includes the realization of high-density circuits, electrical and optical characterization of 2D atomic semiconductors, and AlScN-based ferroelectric field-effect transistors with 2D channels. His research now covers topics ranging from basic materials physics to electronic/photonic devices and systems for next generation computation systems.
