Postdoctoral Fellows
Dr. Nasir Ali
Nasir Ali received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University. In 2020, he received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University. From December 2020 to July 2025, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at SKKU Advanced Institute of Nano Technology (SAINT), Sungkyunkwan University. In August 2025, he joined Prof. Seunguk Song’s research group at Department of Energy Science, Sungkyunkwan University. His current research mainly focuses on investigation of quantum phase metal-insulator transition, metallic transport properties and critical phenomena in 2D materials by employing different contact strategies such as semimetal contacts (Bi, Sb), 2D metallic contacts (NbSe2, TaSe2, TaS2, etc.), and pre-patterned electrodes.
The lab currently has only one vacant postdoctoral position in the fabrication of 2D heterostructures for their quantum information science applications, and we are seeking qualified candidates.
