To better understand students' experiences of the project, we collected qualitative feedback through two focus groups conducted at New Uzbekistan University and a series of individual interviews with students at Mamun University. These discussions provided valuable insights into students' perspectives and complemented the project's quantitative findings.

The conversations explored several key themes, including students' overall course experience, their understanding of engagement monitoring and learning analytics, and the impact of project interventions such as personalised emails, conditional access, and engagement monitoring. Students were also asked to identify the most helpful aspects of the learning analytics approach, discuss any challenges they encountered, and provide recommendations for future improvements.

The focus groups and interviews offered a deeper understanding of how students experienced the interventions and how learning analytics can be used to support engagement and academic success. Participants highlighted the value of timely communication and personalised support while also identifying opportunities to improve transparency, student awareness, and the design of future interventions.

The findings have played an important role in evaluating the project and will inform the continued development of learning analytics practices, ensuring that future initiatives are shaped by student feedback and experience.
