Welcome to the website of the QAA International Collaborative Enhancement Project (ICEP): Enhancing Student Experience with Learning Analytics.
Led by New Uzbekistan University (NUU), this international project brings together New Uzbekistan University, Mamun University, and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) to strengthen student engagement, enhance the learning experience, and support student success through the effective use of learning analytics in higher education.
Funded by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), the project focuses on transferring and implementing the expertise, experience, and established approaches to learning analytics developed at Queen Mary University of London within the contexts of New Uzbekistan University and Mamun University. Through this collaboration, QMUL's knowledge and experience will inform the development of data-informed practices that enable the partner institutions in Uzbekistan to better understand student learning, identify students who may benefit from timely support, and enhance teaching and learning.
By combining QMUL's expertise with the institutional knowledge and educational priorities of NUU and Mamun University, the project aims to adapt and embed effective learning analytics practices in ways that are relevant, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of students and educators in Uzbekistan. The collaboration will generate practical resources, experimental research outputs, and evidence-informed guidance to support the wider adoption of learning analytics across diverse higher education contexts.
The project is led by New Uzbekistan University in partnership with Mamun University and Queen Mary University of London. At the heart of this partnership is the implementation and contextual adaptation of the expertise in learning analytics developed at QMUL, supporting NUU and Mamun University in strengthening their institutional capacity to use student learning data effectively and responsibly.
Through knowledge exchange, collaborative research, and the sharing of established practices, QMUL will contribute its experience and expertise to support the development of learning analytics approaches at the two Uzbek universities. NUU and Mamun University will, in turn, adapt these approaches to their own educational environments, institutional priorities, and student needs.
This partnership goes beyond the exchange of ideas: it aims to translate existing expertise into practical institutional change. By building local capacity, supporting evidence-informed decision-making, and developing sustainable approaches to learning analytics, the project seeks to create lasting benefits for students and staff at NUU and Mamun University, while generating insights that can inform educational enhancement across the wider higher education sector.
