Training Forest Incident Arc

Prologue - Chapter 12

Introduction

Hydama Bolt is a boy born to the Bolt Bloodline and is the second son of Machmino Bolt. Upon the death of Machmino, Hydama awakens the "Eyes of Fate" for the first time that would later alter the course of his life. Ten years later, he'd be invited to Leidan's Exorcist High School; however, he initially hesitated to accept the offer. He would later accept due to his own inner thoughts. 

First Day

On the first day, Kyla Conway and Alice Paleosage are introduced with a brief sentence about their respective motivations before the assessment battle between Hydama and Kyla. Afterwards, the three freshman are tasked with investigating and exorcising a phantom reported at the Training Forest, officially kicking off the Training Forest Incident. 

Phantom

The phantom known as "Nycto" is a wandering ghost who needs a host to regain their abilities. The phantom targets one kid who seems to have nothing to his name, Nigel, and convinces him to use his body for an hour and in exchange he'll get everything he'd ever want. Upon Nigel agreeing to the terms, the two would fuse becoming a human/phantom hybrid. 

Incident

When Nigel and Nycto merged, the first thing done was to kill off the people who were bullying him giving him an inflated ego almost immediately; however, being confronted by Koga Gen gave him a little reality check. 

The battle between the two continues on before Koga would later be caught of guard and half of his face being blown off. This would cause Hydama and Kyla to attempt to face Nigel before being completely outmatched by the hybrid and Koga getting back up to continue to fight. With a greater resolve to fight, Koga would outmatch Nigel completely before Nycto fulling taking over the body.  

Nycto and Koga would continue to fight before Nycto would clone himself and catch Koga off guard. Before a critical strike, Runa would arrive and attack Nycto, turning it into a 2v1. Their strategy far outmatches Nycto and catches him in an attack that'd amputate Nigel's body. Koga would attempt to exorcise the now weakened phantom; however, he'll transform to avoid it.

Nycto is now in his own body and his first order of business is to take down everyone besides Hydama and Kyla. Hydama's Eyes of Fate activates and the two start to clash. Koga would later instruct Kyla to enter the fight for Hydama to land a critical electrokinesis attack. Koga would separate Nigel and Ncyto and take Nigel back with them, letting Nycto get away.
