Kani is focused on battling Aliyah and doesn't pay attention to the giant dove summoned by her for Brandon. While Kani fights Aliyah, Brandon draws the Ace of Spades from his deck. Kani taunts Brandon with arrogance but Brandon reveals his trump card which guarantees a hit on the intended target. Aliyah then uses her aerokinesis to attack Kani while Brandon follows up with cryokinesis. Suddenly, they are interrupted by The Jester, a mythical exorcist, however; Kuro appears and gets in a verbal altercation with The Jester before killing Kani. His identity is revealed as Kuro Bolt and asking Brandon and Aliyah to watch over his brother, Hydama, next year when he goes to Leidan Exorcist High.

 After defeating Kani, the group receives praise from Dr. Goppo. The bond between them grows stronger as they set off on more adventures together, ready to face any challenges that come their way.
