𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 - In celebration of the 𝟑𝟎𝒕𝒉 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 (𝑷𝑪𝑹) 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-Surigao del Sur Provincial Office joined forces with the Tandag Component City Police Station, to conduct a 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒄 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝑾𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 for members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BAPAT) in Tandag City.

The community-based skills training aimed to enhance the participants’practical electrical skills, focusing on safe household wiring practices. This initiative not only strengthens community safety but also provides livelihood opportunities for the BAPAT members and their families.

Aligned with this year’s PCR Month theme, “𝑺𝒂 𝑩𝒂𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒔, 𝑨𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒐 𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒖𝒍𝒊𝒔, 𝑳𝒊𝒈𝒕𝒂𝒔 𝑲𝒂!”, TESDA underscores the importance of community-based skills development as a tool for empowerment, social equity, and inclusive growth. TESDA expresses its gratitude to the Tandag City Police Station and the BAPAT of Barangays Mabua and Rosario for their active participation and support.

Through collaborative programs like this, TESDA continues to build resilient and skilled communities capable of driving local development.
