The Frebertel was built by S. P. Wallace in The North Vancouver Shipyards and was named after Wallace's three children: Frederic, Albert and Isobel.
It was followed by the Frebertel II. Both were used to ferry passengers between the Reliable Boat House and Protection Island.
Hannah Anderson is pictured at the back of the ferry (facing the man in the hat) in her later life, taking a leisurely trip to the pleasure resort she started.
