Post-Arrival Timeline
Overview
Once you arrive on campus, you will probably be a little busy over the first few days before the semester officially begins! The following timeline should give you a basic idea of what the semester will look like once you arrive.
Dormitory Check In
Wednesday, August 25 – Thursday, August 26, 2021 (No early check-in; this is early check in!)
Attendance is mandatory!
Seoul Campus

Fall Semester Start
First day of classes: Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Register for courses (2nd round): September 1-7, 2021 (Register online and/or request professor approval to register in person for graduate-level, major-restricted, or full courses) (Registration excludes the weekend).
Last chance to drop a class: September 23 - 28
Pay the dormitory fee for GlobeeDorm and International Houses (Seoul Campus students) or HUFS Dorm (Global Campus Students) by wire transfer (our campus bank can "wire" cash to HUFS if you intend to bring cash for payment) by the end of the first week of the semester.
Make an appointment to apply for your ARC Card at http://www.hikorea.go.kr, or use our Visa Agency Service that will come to Seoul Campus on select days-their fee is 20,000 KRW in addition to the regular application fee of 30,000 KRW.
Fall Semester End
Final Exams: December 15 - 21 (excluding the weekend)
Dormitory Check out (For students staying only for one semester/going home for vacation)
December 21-22 (GlobeeDorm : December 21 !!)
Intensive Korean Level Test*
*Only for students taking the Intensive Korean Program
Orientation : Wednesday, August 25 at 10:00 am
Intensive Program Start: Wednesday, September 1 - November 12, 2021 (10 weeks)
Please arrive in Korea by Tuesday, August 24 to be on time for this test! You will need to arrange your accommodations if you arrive before dormitory check in.
You will take this placement test at a location determined by the Center for Korean Language and Culture (https://korean.ac.kr).
