90TH ANNIVERSARY LOGO EXPLAINED
The tapestry logo illustrates the intricacy of God’s design. Our church is God’s loom, and He, the master weaver, intertwines us into a beautiful tapestry to reflect His love.
Each of the four 90th Anniversary events is represented by a key colour:
Purple (Conference): Christ centred
Orange (Outreach): Honour
Blue (Down Memory Lane): Unity
Green (Christmas Musical): Diversity
COLLECTION OF LET’S EAT TOGETHER BLESSING GIFT (SUN, 27 FEB)
If you have signed up for Let’s Eat Together, please collect the gift for the person or persons you are blessing on Sun 27 Feb, 10am to 2pm at Ephesus Room.
At 90, let’s demonstrate our faithfulness and resilience, as we continue to bless our community and the nations by living out our vision to be “A Family Blessed to Bless The Community and The Nations.”
In line with the theme of weaving a tapestry of power and love, “Let’s Eat Together – Don’t Say Bo Jio!”. This provides us with an initial platform and acts as a springboard for each of us to build deeper relationships with all whom our Lord Jesus loves. It also gives us a creative space to connect with family and/or friends, to celebrate and do life with one another.

THE CHRISTIAN CALENDAR - EPIPHANY
Have you ever wondered why the pulpit cloth changes colours and has different symbols on it each time it is changed? Do the words “Advent”, “Epiphany” and “Kingdomtime” mean anything to you?
The Liturgical or Church Year is broken into seasons, starting from Advent and ending with Kingdomtide. It is a traditional way to remember and observe the various aspects of the life of Christ and His Church that has been used since the early days of Christianity. Each season has its own colour and symbols that serve as visual mnemonics.
The season of Epiphany in the Church Calendar follows after Christmastide. Epiphany, meaning “revelation” or “manifested”, refers to the revelation of the Christ to the Gentiles as symbolised by the Magi, and, therefore, to all the peoples of the Earth. Epiphany focuses on Jesus’ early life, His baptism, and the wedding feast at Cana. The themes are on renewal and missions. The season’s colour is green, the symbol of growth, spring and new life. Epiphany is from 6 January to Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent.
