Evolved: Around 300 years henceforth
Extinct: By 100,000 Yh.
Location: Is moving South into more cover most quickly, but is also pushing North, East and West more slowly from it's seeding point on South West Catland.
Viable Habitat: Wide range of habitats from temperate forest to grassland to arid scrubland to jungle shrubland.
Size: 8 - 12cm (body length), 16 - 24cm (tail + body length)
Weight: 35 - 45 grams
Dietary Needs: In particular eats a lot of seeds, grains and fruits. Can eat a wide range of foods much like it's Earth-dwelling ancestor including meat in small quantities.
Life Cycle: Mice are placental mammals. The females have a very short estrous cycle of only about a week, and the presence of such a cycle depends on the presence of males. Males have a chirping ultrasonic call they use when searching for or tracking a potential mate. Their life cycle only takes around two months to complete, sometimes less, and females can produce multiple litters a year each averaging seven pups. Pups are helpess, blind and naked. Their mothers build a warm insulated nest before giving birth to them and feed them on milk for around three weeks.
Other: They were bred on an interstellar ship, hence the name of the subspecies. They contain genes from wild Western European mice, laboratory mice and "fancy" pet mice. This makes them a hybrid subspecies.
Their incisors combined with their small size allow them to gnaw through barriers and access food and shelter unreachable to other animals on the planet.
