In this project, binomial names are only used for species that currently have them.
"Genera" in this project has a slightly different meaning from real-life taxonomy, in that although it describes a group of closely related species, there is no binomial naming convention for species evolved on the planet after seeding, and thus on Planet Cat Sanctuary "genus" names are just common names for groups of related species.
If a species has a binomial name due to being a real-life species, or is listed under a genus name, it will be sorted aplhabetically by genus name. If it only has a common name, it will be sorted alphabetically by it's common name. You can also find species using the site search at the top right corner of the page, or by using Ctrl + F if you're on a desktop computer or laptop.
This page is a continuous work in progress for as long as new species are being added to the project.
