As you should know from reading up on the Story and the Darkness, Power is what canonically determines the strength of your Fantasy character. All Fantasy characters automatically have access to 100% of their power at all times, however, they cannot inflict damage on the infected what so ever, in fact, their powers are rendered useless when in proximity and are near 0%.
This is where soul swapping comes in! Their Campus Parallel Universe counterpart will take control of the Fantasy character's body. But... they start off quite weak. Oh dear... only 1% of their power? These poor sad excuses of fighters can't use any of their skills right off the bat! Sounds like they're gonna need to learn how to get stronger.
What an excellent question, my dear viewer! Well, as you'd probably expect, you gain power by participating in the group! You can earn Power just like you could with credits, but they're a bit harder to achieve and require more specific types of group participating in order to gain them. Here's how you can go about getting power/
Participating in events is the easiest way to gain power! Simply pick any prompt, including a meme prompt if it is available, and your character will gain 5% in strength! This can be done only once per event, so doing any additional prompt afterwards will only get you credits. Using the Event-Redo button can earn you power if your character had not done that event before.
If any Event RPs are held, participating in them will earn your character a +1% Power increase!
Quite simple, really! Each Quest will earn you 2% more power, and you'll also get 5 credits on top of that!
Besides Event and Quests, which are the two main ways of getting Power, there will be plenty of other ways of obtaining power for your character!
Every time the number of Credits you've earned goes up by 100, you will gain Power! It doesn't matter if you've spent those Credits, these are regarding the total amount of Credits you've eared (All Time Credits). This DOES cap at 1,000 All Time Credits! Once your Linked Pair earns 1,000 All Time Credits, they will no longer be able to earn Power % through earning more Credits
For every five RP logs you submit that your character had participated in, they will gain power! They all must be a minimum of 2000 words. Separating an RP into parts does not count as a new RP Log. The RP log can include either character in the Linked Pair, but other Linked Pairs will count towards their own RP log count.
Filling out a Heart Chart is an amazing way to record your experiences with other characters! By filling out five characters (that you don't own) on your character's heart chart will earn you +1% power. If you can get that number to ten characters (that you don't own), you will earn an additional +2% power.
For a character to officially count on a heart chart, your character must write at least 100 words about them and have some kind of opinion of them.
Drawing out other characters Birthdays are always so sweet! For every 5 birthday drawings you make (this can include your own characters), you will be able to gain power! You can select whichever Linked Pair you want to give this power increase to.
Every Hero needs a villain! If you purchase a Villain App and make a character, +1% power will be added to the Linked Pair of your choice!
Power directly relates to whether or not your character can use a certain skill in a drawing or RP. If your Campus Character is attempting to use a Power they should not have access to yet, you will be reported by the mods and told to stop.
Reaching 100% power will give your character the ability to Purify those who have been infected by the Darkness. There is no more power increasing for your character after that and your character's progression will be considered finished.
Reaching 100% power with a Linked Pair will allow you to have a 4th Linked Pair and 4th Villain app!
