COLOR VARIANTS - We will now allow alternate color variations of Pokémon! We do ask that you make the Pokémon recognizable as that Pokémon and if people report it as an issue that needs to be addressed, we will have to ask you to change it.
REGIONAL FORMS - Alternative forms such as Alolan and Galarian are also allowed! As student may also take on a Mega/Dynamax design but not have the power that comes with it! Only canonical Mega/Gigantimax designs allowed!
SPECIES SPECIFIC FORMS - Species that can swap between forms such as Shaymin, The Sky Genies, and Deoxys can either change their form at will, or use their skills to change, due to them being sidegrade forms! As for someone who gets stronger in a new form, such as Hoopa or Zygarde, their forms could either be treated as Evolution, or temporary form changes using Skills!
FUSION DESIGNS - Fusion designs between two Pokémon species can only be incorporated into the Fantasy World. Their race should explain why the fusion design is the way that it is. For example, if you wished to have a Mismagius/Delphox fusion, then the race of the character should be something such as a Lich, which would explain why the Delphox is also part Mismagius.
HEIGHT - The Height Range of a University world character should be anywhere between 4'0 and 7'5! (The only exception to this rule is Alolan Exeggutor, with their max height being 8 ft.) We do allow students that are shorter than that height, but please be aware that you risk the potential of your application being rejected. Fantasy characters do not have to abide to this rule. Please keep your Fantasy Character's size in check, though, as they'll still need to use the tablet which is meant for a normal sized character!
AGE - Characters should be between the age of 18-95. All characters, Fantasy side included, have regular human life spans.
POKEMON SPECIES - Every Pokémon Species is allowed! Ultra Beasts, Beta Pokémon, and all Legendary Pokémon, including Arceus and Giratina are allowed! The only species that are banned are ones from an upcoming DLC or game that has not yet been released!
NO PREGNANCY - Pregnancy in both Real and Fantasy World is banned. Characters may initially join the group with a child, but their child must be at least 7 years old (1st Grade) already.
DEATH - While your Campus Character obviously isn't allowed to die, your Fantasy Character can. As long as their spirit lingers on and they take the form of a Ghost-Type Pokémon! You can create Fantasy characters that have already died but refuse to move onto the afterlife.
Campus characters, aka characters from the real world, are Anthro only and lack regular Pokémon moves and powers! They should be seen on the same level as regular Humans, however they do have a few traits depending on their species. Read the list below!
CAMPUS MEMBER POWERS (or lack thereof)
LEVITATION - The campus member cannot float to extreme heights. Unless the campus member is jumping to increase elevation (which would be the jumping height of a normal person), their height will relatively remain the same. At most, they can pick their legs off the ground and remain the same elevation.
WINGS - Students cannot fly.
HEIGHTENED SIGHT/HEARING - This is allowed! However, your student cannot hear/see unreasonable distances. Having heightened senses does not allow you to see through walls or easily track someone down by scent through a trail that's a couple days old. At most, you just have really good 20/20 vision and smell better than the average person.
STRENGTH - It'll be based on normal human levels of strength.
EXTRA LIMBS - These are allowed as long as it's a key feature about the Pokemon species! You can't go and give Pikachu two new sets of arms, but Ambipoms can have a prehensile tail and Cofagrigus can maintain their extra ghost hands.
FIRE-BREATHING - No.
FLAMING BODY PARTS - This goes for fire tails, hair, or fire radiating off of a student. They cannot burn things and may be warm to the touch.
ANIMALISTIC - Students are able to purr, whimper, or howl if their Pokemon is based off of a feline or canine.
TYPE-ATTRIBUTES - They're allowed to be nuanced and small! It's always a good idea to ask.
GHOST-TYPE - You are not allowed to see or phase through walls.
FIRE-TYPE - They are able to have a warmer body temperature and withstand colder temperatures. They aren't a big fan of water.
GRASS-TYPE - Grass Types can be affected by Seasons, if they have any plants or leaves on them, then they can change depending on the Season. They can also breathe in carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen and have a generally more green thumb. They can also be more energetic in sunlight and drowsier on cloudy days. However, grass-types cannot completely rely on sunlight for a source of food.
FIGHTING-TYPE - They'll be able to have an easier time developing muscle structures and have a higher default level of strength than the average person. However, it won't be Pokemon-levels of strong. They are nerfed in this world.
ELECTRIC-TYPE - They can have designated spots on their body that is static (ie. a Pikachu's cheeks).
WATER-TYPE - They can be strong swimmers and hold their breath longer. They'll have an easier time with training to be on the skill-level of an Olympic swimmer.
BUG-TYPE - They can be good climbers, but not on the level of scaling walls and ceilings. They would have an easier time climbing trees and rock walls.
STEEL-TYPE - They are less likely to be sick and if they drink alcohol, they'll be able to hold their liquor better. They are not completely immune of poison, however. They just have a higher tolerance. They also don't bruise easily and are more durable and strong.
ROCK-TYPE - They can be generally stronger.
ICE-TYPE - They are prone to sickness in warmer weather and can get heat-stroke. However, they are more energetic during the winter!
DRAGON-TYPE - They get sick easier in colder weather.
PSYCHIC-TYPE - They are not allowed to mind-read or accurately predict the future (which would be god-modding). Instead, they are able to have higher levels of empathy and everything they sense is a hunch. The hunch can't always be accurate, though. Roll a dice if you need to!
If you have any questions for your student's abilities that isn't present on this list, it is always a good idea to ask in the #help channel on our Discord server! Just because it's not a rule, doesn't mean it's instantly allowed. Please use your common sense! If the trait alters the world we live in, opens the floor to god-modding, or is considered too powerful/OP, the chances of it being rejected are high.
RACE - Fantasy characters, unlike their College Campus Counterparts, have the option to be Anthro, Gijinka, or any other DnD race that you desire! For example, if you decide a Fantasy character is a mermaid, you will draw that Pokémon species with a mermaid tail, even if that Pokémon doesn't normally have a mermaid tail, or is even a water type for that matter!
CLOTHING/ACCESSORIES - The clothing of the Fantasy character doesn't have to come off as Medieval, but it certainly shouldn't come off as modern, either! Clothing such as sneakers and jeans are things these kinds of characters would not have access to. They also would not have modern accessories like video games or credit cards. Your character should not be completely nude and have some sort of clothing on them! If they have more of non-humanoid bottom, then they do not need pants! However if your character is more human-like with their body shape, then they will need pants.
WEAPONS - Weapons should also follow the same rule as clothing. They shouldn't be modern weapons. No automatic guns or realistic weapons on the same caliber. Most weaponry in this group is either magic based (magic bullets) or Medieval Based (Sword, Knives, Kunai, Staffs, Bow & Arrow, etc). You can have older guns such as the Flintlocke rifle, which take a long time to reload, but they would be quite weak in comparison to all other weapon types you can have.
As most RPG groups go, Pokemon Fantasy-University also has classes. These classes are here to help you identify what your character specializes in. Each class has it's own unique features with it's pros and cons, but in the end, each one is just as important to the other in order to save the Fantasy World.
We will be keeping the class system relatively simple, if you wish to go into further detail explaining what your character's abilities are with their class, then you are free to do as such. Just make sure it falls within the class's abilities.
If you wish to change your character's class, you are free to do so. But please let us know if you are doing it! Also be wary that your character will not be immediately skilled in their new class that they choose if they switch.
Please note that your application MUST list one of these as their class. If you have a subclass you'd like you can describe it more in the written portion. Also, if you don't think any of these main classes fit your subclass, please message me about it, or comment down below!
WARRIOR
The Warrior class is one that focuses in physical strength and defense. They fight with weapons such as swords, shields, or even their bare fists. Whatever the case, they are strong and to not be messed with. However, their weakness lies in that they do not usually have tricks up their sleeves like the other classes do.
MAGE
The Mage class is probably the exact opposite of the Warrior class. They are physically much weaker, but they have tons of special abilities that give them the upperhand in battle. From Spell Casters, to Summoners, to Shapeshifters, to Dark Mages; they have many tricks up their sleeves and they must be figured out you wish to defeat them.
ROGUE
A rogue is a versatile character, capable of sneaky combat and nimble tricks. The rogue is stealthy and dexterous, they also specialize in finding and disarming traps and picking locks. The rogue also has the ability to "sneak attack" enemies who are caught off-guard or taken by surprise, inflicting extra damage.
RANGER
The Ranger class, like the Ninja class, likes to go undetected in their missions. However, unlike the Ninjas, get their job done from a much farther distance. Without guns, using a sniper rifle is out of the question. For the time being the only weapons that can be used are bow and arrows along with crossbows. Their speed and accuracy are their biggest strengths.
SUPPORT
The Support class is for those who do not wish to fight at all. This can range from being a Medic to heal those who have been injured, to a farmer that grows crops, a merchant who sells goods, and so on. Whatever the case is, they're supporting and helping others without doing any sort of fighting.
When creating a University world character, there is a role (or major) that your character can have! Remember, you can make a student AND/OR a faculty member character! Below are some examples of occupations your character can have as faculty, as well as a website listing some majors your character can have!
NOTE: THE ONLY ROLE THAT IS OFF LIMITS IS THE SCHOOL DEAN.
Click the link above to be taken to a list of college majors each organized by section!
PROFESSOR
The teachers on campus! These characters have already gone through a couple of things within their lives, but have came to Fantasy University to share their knowledge with students. From the strict grader, to the laid-back lecturer, there are plenty of options for you to choose from when it comes to this type of character. They also can sponsor student organizations on campus as well!
CUSTODIAN
Responsible for cleaning up any and all messes that the students (or fellow staff) may create around campus.
LIBRARIAN
You can be one of many that help out students who may need to find the perfect book to finish up their report, or to shoo out loiterers.
CAFETERIA EMPLOYEE
Your lunch-ladies (or lunch-lads or lunch-pals), they prepare meals within the cafeteria on campus!
SECURITY GUARD
Keeping the rest of the University Population safe, they patrol around campus for any and all suspicious activity.
