GLAAC COUNCIL COVID-19 EAGLE PROJECT GUIDELINES
Council has created a PDF document that provides guidance for Eagle Projects during this pandemic quarantine period. Please review the document at the bottom of this page for important information.
The most up to date Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook can always be found on the Scouting.org website. The button at the bottom of the page called "Project Workbook" will take you there. Any other version can have formatting issues, no longer be accepted, or be missing the most current content.
Once you have an idea for an Eagle Project, fill out the Contact Information on page 6 and the first section of the proposal workbook, pages 7-10. Make sure your Scoutmaster, Troop Committee Chair, and Troop Project Couch read your proposal and offer feedback. The Unit Leader approval, Unit Committee approval and Beneficiary approval signatures must be complete before contacting the District for review. In addition, please complete the Eagle Scout Service Project Fundraising Application on page 17. You can get the Beneficiary and Unit Leader signatures at the same time as the initial project approval.
You may not begin your Eagle Project or any fundraising towards your Eagle Project until you have a Pio Pico District approval signature.
In review, the Eagle Project steps are:
Discuss your idea with your Troop leadership and Project Beneficiary
Write up your Eagle Project Proposal using the first section of the workbook
Get Unit Leader, Unit Committee and Beneficiary signatures both on the proposal and the Fundraising Application
Contact Pio Pico District for review and an approval signature
Please make every effort to type your Eagle Project Proposal as the template is a fill-able PDF file.
