EAGLE APPLICATION

The most up to date Eagle Scout Rank Application can always be found on the Scouting.org website. The button at the bottom of the page called "Application" will take you there. Any other version can have formatting issues, no longer be accepted, or be missing the most current content.

Once your Eagle Project Proposal Workbook is complete and you have earned all the required merit badges for Eagle, complete the Eagle Scout Rank Application. Some common issues Scouts encounter:

1. Request a copy of your Advancement Summary Report from your Troop Advancement Chair. They download this from the Council Internet Advancement website.

   • The application asks for PID No. Please type your Member ID # found on the Advancement Summary Report.

   • All of your dates for ranks and merit badges should be taken from the Advancement Summary Report. This report is the official date; even if your book and/or blue cards have a different one.

2. The only optional reference is the employer row. You must have at least five (5) references listed.

3. If your religious reference is not from a religious organization (i.e. church, synagogue, temple, etc...) you must also provide a paragraph stating a declaration of your religious beliefs signed both you and your parent(s)/ guardian(s).

4. Reference letters are requested by you utilizing the letter template attached to the bottom of this page (Pio Pico District Reference Letter Guide). Make sure to give your references time to provide letters.

5. It is courteous and recommended that you include a pre-stamped/ addressed envelope to make the process of mailing your reference letter to the District Advancement Chair by your reference as easy as possible. Reference letters are not to be returned to you.

6. In the merit badge list section, make sure you cross out alternative merit badges not earned (Entries #7, #8, and #10)

7. For Leadership Positions, make sure the position(s) was/ were taken after you earned Life rank.

8. The term for LEadership Positions must equal or exceed six (6) months. (One day short is still one day short and will not complete the requirement).

9. Make sure the number of hours for your Eagle Project match the number of hours in your Eagle Project Proposal report.

10. Make sure the date you completed your project matches the date in your Eagle Project Proposal report.
