"The poppies, along with the daisies and lotus flowers, are the flowers that I love the most. They are strongly linked to my experiences and hold specific memories of unique beauty for me. The poppy, in particular, is linked to my childhood. It reminds me of freedom, dreams, fields, small villages, and the summer heat. Its warm color embraces me, and its petals remind me of play. In this painting, it represents the need to bring out the child that lives within us and integrate it into our adult lives. Life is not only about rules and responsibilities, but also about playfulness and lightness."

If I were to think of you,

 I would remember the pyjamas put under your clothes,

 the beard I pulled with my teeth,

 the way I curled my  fingers in your hair,

 a shepherd dog running after you,

 the walks we took with you carrying me on your shoulder,

 the evening readings,

 our feet entwined in an unlikely dance out of rhythm,

 the taste of raisins,

 the scent of cotton candy and your work clothes,

 the tears in your socks,

 the cardboard in your shoes,

 and the last bites you gave me... 

You are always with me.
