 gears and colour

 the soul like the body

 a perfect machine that life tugs at

 but I have everything inside

 every state is a colour

 every state lives in the stomach

 in the chest and in the mind. 

I am made of everything. 

and like a sponge I absorb everything

 Joy and sadness thoughts and fears are there

 And I have always lived there

 and forever they will be my companions and I feed them along the way

 I steal colour from the world

In today's world, we see a generation that seems to be apathetic and disconnected from the issues that are affecting our planet and the future of humanity. Their rights are often ignored, and the laws in Italy seem to work against the people, with the government and institutions being complicit in this lack of communication and defence of the citizens

"The Butterfly's Embrace" was developed in psychology as a technique to help people overcome trauma and reach a state of tranquillity. It enables individuals to confront painful memories and achieve a sense of calm. The embrace also symbolises the transition from pain to calm that determination can achieve. This is why I dedicate this painting to men, women, and children who have suffered from a painful past, and carry memories that they cannot erase.

 The painting serves as an invitation to embrace ourselves, to find the strength to move beyond the pain, and to love ourselves.

The painting depicts books of all kinds to symbolize the diverse knowledge that empowers us to bring about positive change in various fields. Open books represent the stories we write through our inventions, discoveries, and revolutions, leaving a legacy for future generations. Our creations, whether works of art, cures for diseases, or advancements in freedom, all contribute to progress.

It urges us to love and respect ourselves, not feeling ashamed or flawed because of societal standards. There is no such thing as a perfect body, and we should appreciate and respect the natural diversity in ourselves and others.

This painting represents how music is a part of each of us and how it enters our minds and hearts. It shows how we experience its importance in our lives. The artist wanted to depict music as a ballerina used in music boxes, with the key to start it placed close to the dancer's heart and positioned on a treble clef. Music has different forms, dances and sounds, but each one nourishes our hearts. The dancer's hair represents a song, a melody, or something that we continuously play and never forget. It might be a dedication, a summer hit, the soundtrack of a film, something that we write or love. Music is a combination of body, soul and feeling.

This painting conveys the importance of being aware of various aspects of our lives, such as our identity, surrounding dangers, our own needs, and the needs of others. The subject in the painting is depicted inside a flower, which is about to blossom, symbolizing the awakening of one's awareness. The little men who are forcibly opening the subject's eyes represent the need for us to forcefully allow awareness into our lives. Therefore, it highlights the crucial need for women to comprehend their own abilities, strive for economic independence, and break free from the blindness that is instilled in us and that we instill in ourselves.

This painting depicts the struggles faced by women today. It highlights the lack of identity and control they have over their lives and choices. Women are often reduced to mere puppets at the mercy of others, subject to the whims of capricious puppeteers in a never-ending theatrical performance.

In this painting, I aimed to convey the indiscretion of our close or distant neighbours, who watch us as unwanted spectators of our dramas, sometimes judging us harshly or showing us mercy. The curiosity of others in wanting to know our problems often adds more drama to the already existing drama.

Sometimes, there are gaps in our lives that need to be filled. Filling these gaps can become our passion and add new nuances and pieces to our lives. These gaps can be filled with the affections that occupy a place in our hearts, with words that fill us with emotions, with colors that we find during a walk in nature, or with memories that occupy our minds like rainbow-clad shadows. Sometimes, all we need to fill a void is to know ourselves better. This is what I tell myself, and through painting with colour and passion, I was able to fill a part of myself that was missing.

I created this painting as a personal exercise to experiment with gouache colours, observe their visual impact on paper, and feel their texture. The painting depicts the end of a dancer's performance, who is already receiving applause from the audience.
