"Prestige Update"
This is the third experimental development version that will introduce prestige system that resets your previous progress for bonuses.
The Rebirth is a game's only prestige mechanics that resets your previous progress back to the start, but you will get a variety of buffs at once. You can perform the Rebirth to award some buffs.
Rebirths can be performed under the required story chapter with some hard-coded specific requirements. You can perform the first Rebirth after defeating the Great Boss of Earth, the first planned boss that is used in place of the Unit 66, then entering the cutscene for the new journeys and realms, featuring friendly arcs and harpies talking about Gale at Hidden Village first; and to reach the Iedas nation at the westernmost city (West Iedas City).
First Rebirth: At story chapters 5-6 (becoming accessible after defeating the Great Boss of Earth)
Second Rebirth: At story chapters 7-8 (after completing the story chapter 6)
Third Rebirth and Beyond: At story chapters 9-12 (after completing the story chapter 8)
Fourth Rebirths and beyond: After defeating the final boss
Added a pre-expansion help for newer players who are not sure of the strategy on completing the early parts of the expansion in Phoenotopia:
See the guide here.
Added two higher tiers of heart rubies:
Golden Heart: Worth 4 times the regular Heart Ruby, granting an additional health capacity of 24 HP (8 times the HP scaling factor based on the Rebirths (default to 3)). Earns 4 completion points.
Ethereal Heart: Worth 4 times the Golden Heart, granting an additional health capacity of 96 HP (32 times the HP scaling factor based on the Rebirths (default to 3)). Earns 16 completion points.
Adjusted the loots of boxes, crates, and enemies. The destroyed crates drop 7 rai (2 bronze coins and 1 silver coin worth 5 rai in the Lost Journey expansion) in place of 5 rai (2 bronze coins and 1 silver coin worth 3 rai in the original Flash version). Enemies' loots can be found in the document.
Cave Jellies now drop the Jelly Goo far more often (increased from 2% in the original Flash version to 5% in the Lost Journey Version (EDV3)).
Renamed "Dark Alloy Armor" into "Dark Matter Chestplate".
Added some new armors:
Phoenix's Mastery Armor - DEF: +5 + 25% of the enemies’ damage
Reassigned the "completion" point calculation per item, for pre-expansion items as follows:
42 moonstones (1 completion point per moonstone, at a total of 42 points)
Reaching a maximum of 210 HP by:
25 heart rubies (1 completion point per heart ruby, at a total of 25 points)
Drinking all 10 chocolate protein shakes (1 completion point per drink, at a total of 10 points)
Total: 35 points for reaching 210 HP
Obtaining the first three armors:
Leather vest (2 point)
Chainmail armor (4 points)
Ancient armor (8 points)
Total: 14 points
Obtain the first three weapons:
Wooden bat (1 point)
Iron hammer (3 points)
Morning star (8 points)
Total: 12 points
Obtain the lamp (3 points)
Obtain the lifesaver (3 points)
Obtain the rocket boots (4 points)
Obtain the nebula armlet (15 points)
Obtain the blood ring (80 points)
Obtain the lucky belt (8 points)
Obtain the ki spear technique scroll (6 points)
Obtain the first four tools:
Slingshot (2 points)
Bombs (3 points)
Javelin (5 points)
Artifact (8 points)
Total: 18 points
Free completion points from the first 27 achievements: 180 points
Total pre-expansion completion points required to defeat the Great Boss of Earth: 420 points
Reduced the costs of certain essential items required to defeat the Great Boss of Earth
Iron Hammer:
Atai: 96 R (unchanged)
Daea: 72 R (unchanged)
Morning Star: 210 R → 160 R
Leather Vest:
Atai: 100 R (unchanged)
Daea: 75 R (unchanged)
Chainmail Armor: 180 R (unchanged)
Lamp:
Atai: 90 R (unchanged)
Misty Gorge: 75 R (unchanged)
Daea: 60 R (unchanged)
Lifesaver (formerly Floatation Donut): 40 R → Free
Life Ring (formerly Blood Ring): 666 R → 420 R
Changed the cost of Old Ration and E-Soda that were one-time only in the original Flash version (increased the two by 18 rai - a little nasty merchant!):
Old Ration/Revived Ration: 27 R → 45 R
Old Ration items bought from the Hidden Village are called "Revived Ration" instead.
E-Soda: 36 R → 54 R
Power Potions now heal 25 HP instead of 15.
The low health alert now triggers if your HP is less than 20 or 10% of your maximum HP (rounded down, for instance, if your maximum HP is 288, then the alert will trigger when your HP is less than 28, not 29), and the Life Ring now regenerates your HP at the alert point.
Gill now talks about the completion points required to access the World's Former End, which is a crucial location to defeat the Great Boss of Earth to approach the journey expansion. It is now much harder to access than completing the Unit 0066 chase sequence in the original Flash version, since the players have to obtain all the first 27 achievements to reach the required 420 completion points. For instance, if all of the first 27 achievements but "Never Knew What Hit Him" (#7, 15 points) and "A Connoisseur of Fluffy Pillows" (#26, 5 points) have been obtained, you would still have 400 completion points at that period, which is 20 points behind the required number, after which, you are still stuck at this point and won't be able to access the World's Former End as the real pathway to defeat the Great Boss of Earth.
Added the Chocolate Protein Shake cost discount after defeating the Great Boss of Earth:
Pre-abduction: 144 R
Post-abduction, without Aella: 112 R
Post-abduction, with Aella, pre-Great Boss of Earth battle: 80 R
Post-Great Boss of Earth battle: 64 R
Changed and simplified the pool for the money drop entities to be based on the term 4^n:
Bronze coin: 1 rai
Silver coin: 4 rai
Gold coin: 16 rai
Green bill: 64 rai
Yellow bill: 256 rai
Red bill: 1,024 rai
Purple bill: 4,096 rai
Blue bill: 16,384 rai
Black bill: 65,536 rai
Money drops in terms of entities are calculated based on the base-4 (quaternary) conversion from decimal (base 10). So that if the enemied killed would drop 1,024 rai, for instance, would drop a single red bill, rather than groups of money entities of the lower values.
Changed the location name "Ancient's Crater" to "Ancient Crater".
"Bottle Puki Milk" is renamed to simply "Milk".
Redesigned the world map into the digital view style.
Updated the location system with a numeric ID as follows:

Panselo [#1]

This minor experimental development version don't change that many things, but made some clear tweaks to the Great Boss of Earth fight. The new attack pattern is as follows:
[Phase 1]: The Great Boss of Earth will shoot multiple small plasma beams that seek Gale before shooting rapidly. Its small plasma beams' damage is 12 HP (8 HP with the Ancient Armor equipped).
[Phase 2]: It will shoot a wide ray of plasma beams in two directions spinning clockwise on the opposite sides of the boss' ray shooters for a few seconds. Its dead ray of plasma beams' damage is 12 HP (8 HP with the Ancient Armor equipped).
[Phase 3]: Next, it will splat some heavy duty explosions at random locations that are far away from the boss with an incoming warning sign shown before the explosion, and will also shoot 3-4 big electric magic balls that seek the player. Its explosions and the big electric magic attack both deal a damage of 16 HP (11 HP with the Ancient Armor equipped).
[Special phase]: If you not attack the boss even with only one hit, it will release a giant electric magic that deals massive damage to Gale, even when you are far away from the boss. Its giant electric magic deals a damage of 20 HP (14 HP with the Ancient Armor equipped).
[Contact]: The contact damage of the Great Boss of Earth is 12 HP (8 HP with the Ancient Armor equipped).
