BATTLE OF THE BUILDERS

Rules & Information

The Battle of the Builders is a knock-out style tournament consisting of multiple rounds in which the participants will directly battle each other. The loser from each match-up will be eliminated from the tournament and the winner will advance to the next round where they will be challenged by a new player. The last player standing will be crowned champion.

In every match-up the players are given a randomly selected ride and theme or modifier they have to work with. The Parkitect community or jury decides who wins each match-up through voting.

Competition setup

In this competition players battle each other 1 v 1 to build the best diorama within the given plot. In each round the players have to build a diorama within the plot in a certain amount of time.

At the start of each round the following is determined:

After each round, members and experts of the official Parkitect community can vote for their favorite map. The player with the most votes will go through to the next round and battle a new player until only one winner is left.

Sign-Up

Players can enter using the form provided on the Parkitect Depot website. After the deadline for entering has passed, all players will be entered into a qualification round or into group stages for the first round. After this stage, players will be drawn into a player vs player knockout tree style competition.

Competition Rules

Objective

At the start of each round in the competition each player will receive a plot plot (see example on the right) where they will have to build a small diorama. The goal is to build the best diorama within the rules of that round. Builds are ranked by the community members and a set of expert players. The experts will score all builds based on creativity, skills, execution and the ride / shop as a concept.

Rules

Any items outside the plot border will not be judged when voting takes place.

Collaborations are not allowed unless stated otherwise. Asking players for feedback is allowed as long as no completed blueprints from other builds or other players are imported.

Players are free to use the DLC and mods available on the Steam Workshop or Mod.io - mods must be on these sites before the start of the round.  Any deemed unfair use will result in a penalty.

Building other flat rides, transport rides, coasters or water rides and opening them is not allowed. You can however use other rides in test mode as scenery objects / non-functional rides. Not building the required ride for the round will result in a penalty or disqualification. Players are also allowed to build utility buildings, shops and stalls.

Sharing the park file or any pictures of the plot before voting has taken place is not allowed and will result in a penalty unless specified otherwise. Uploading your park to the Steam Workshop is NOT allowed until after voting has finished.

Parks must be submitted in time using the submission form provided. Please remember to open your park and make sure all rides and paths are accessible to guests.
