NARATIVE REPORT

Why I choose Paranaque National Highschool-Main?

As the biggest population of students in Asia, PNHS-Main formerly known as Paranaque Municipal High School is a secondary public school in Paranaque City established 1969. Receives International, National, and Regional Awards by its competitive huge number of students.

As a future educator and a competitive person wants to share and to learn more, with this kind of environment I expect unlimited potential for me to grow.

First day of Deployment

On the first day of my observation there are few students who attend online classes. They are not that active in the discussions, there are few students who participated through chat. The teachers are knowledgeable about the topic and learn many things about the school. Even though we didn’t meet the Principal in person, he’s known as responsible and great that this reflects on their school management.

ENCOUNTER WITH THE STUDENTS

The assigned students to me are from the sections of Banatao, Bohol, Del Carmen, Torres, and Serano. My observation in all of this five sections, they are not that interacting and participating on the lesson discussed. Student's participation must be observed on each classes and the interest are not in the bare minimum. They are more of a passive learner and traditional methods but the difference this time its online, it is more applied as an approach.

ENCOUNTER WITH THE TEACHERS

Observing the teachers ability to teach reached standards but it sad to see that the students are not cooperating with the discussion. They are well knowledgeable with the subject and it is quite difficult to teach specially lessons that needed students' interaction for hands-on activities. Teachers are approachable personally than online.

ENCOUNTER WITH THE PRINCIPAL

I don't have the personal encounter with the Principal Mr. Gerry A. Lumaban but from the condition of the school, he's a responsible and innovative kind of Principal. By observing the school establishment that provides each students' needs for learning it reflects on what kind of leadership he have accomplished.
