Cub Scout
Pack 416

Purpose

Our mission is to prepare boys and girls to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The four aims of Scouting are citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership.

Where We Meet

Cub Scout Pack 416 is headquartered in Gainesville, Florida. Our sponsoring organization is Queen of Peace Catholic Community. We primarily meet at Queen of Peace Church, Lawton Chiles Elementary School, Camp Shands, and at parks and wild spaces throughout Alachua County and North Florida. Our Pack also adventures to other parts of Florida and the Southeast for special trips.

How Often We Meet

The core of Cub Scouts are Dens of 3 to 7 Scouts who are in the same school grade. Dens of Scouts work together as a team to advance in rank. Dens meet one to two times per month for 1-2 hours depending on the adventure. The Dens come together to make up the Pack. Our Pack has a total of 50 to 80 Cub Scouts. The Pack meets one to two times per month for large group activities like service projects, hikes, camping, and cookouts.

Cost & Value of Cub Scouting

It costs approximately $100 per year per Scout to join in our fun. Scholarships are available. When considering the youth leadership training, civic engagement, outdoor skills, friendships, and fun, we know this is a highly valuable program for our kids.
