Get ready for Cub Scout Pack 416 Rocket Academy, our long running Summer Tradition!
These are the voyages of Pack 416. Its one day mission: to explore the air space above the soccer field. To seek out new life and scare away vultures. To boldly go where no Scout has gone before and hopefully not in the backyards of neighboring subdivisions!
Traveling 1150 feet above Earth, Cub Scout Pack 416 rockets will make history for venturing farther than any stomp rocket has ever gone.

Scout families are asked to purchase and assemble your own model rockets a few days to a week before the Rocket Academy Launch Day. Please have your Scout do as much as possible. It does not need to be perfect. We will check it out before it launches. We recommend Estes model rockets such as the Alpha III, Hi-Flier, Viking, Bandito, Yankee, Firehawk, or Athena. There are also mini-rockets called Mini Mosquito, Swift Flying, and Orange Bullet. There are a lot of other fun variations. Please keep in mind that rockets take about 2-3 days to assemble and glue. You can find Estes model rockets on amazon.com, estesrockets.com, Walmart, etc. You do NOT need to purchase a launch pad and ignition system or engines or igniters or wadding because our Pack has already purchased these items. Specifically, we purchased A8-3 engines for everyone.
