High-energy, non-perishable snacks to keep your energy up.
For visibility at night. Always carry extra batteries.
Layers to stay warm and dry in case of weather changes.
To treat cuts, blisters, insect bites, and other minor injuries.
Includes sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to prevent sunburn and heat illness.
Even with GPS, Scouts should know how to use a map and compass to navigate.
Waterproof matches, a lighter, or a fire starter for warmth and emergency signals.
Staying hydrated is essential. Consider a way to purify water too (e.g., tablets or a filter).
A backpack is essential to carry all the Scout essentials comfortably and safely.
