Pack Meeting - December 9th - 6pm - Duffy Elementary
Every Cub Scout's favorite time of the year - Pinewood Derby Season!
Pinewood Derby Car Kits will be distributed at this Pack Meeting. Scouts will also have some time to brainstorm designs. For those who don't have access to woodworking tools there will be a Car Cutting day on December 6th.
In an effort to reduce check-in time the morning of the Pinewood Derby, each Cub Scout will be provided the number they will be assigned in the Pinewood Derby Race Management Software.
Additionally, the Pack will hold a Precheck night prior to race day to ensure your derby car is compliant to the rules. Cars can be weighed and dimensionally checked. The track will also be setup to allow for a test run down the track.
The requirements for the Family/Reverence Adventure should be completed at home as a family. Please see your den resource page for more information.

Not everyone has access to woodworking tools to build a great Pinewood Derby Car at home. To help everyone have an opportunity to build a competitive Pinewood Derby car, Patrick McGloin (a former Pack Leader) opens up his wood shop to help Scouts get their cars cut.
Please come ready with the design you want ready to go. There will be a SignupGenius to sign up for a 10-15 time slot.

Help us sell Munson's chocolate bars to fund raise for the Pack! It's a great experience for the kids, plus they honestly love doing it. Funds raised will help us provide supplies and awesome programming for Pack 161. We need at least one family signed up per time slot, but the more the merrier. Don't worry if you have never done it before, we will make sure you have everything you need.
You've had all holiday break to put your final touches on your car. Come get it checked to make sure there's no surprises morning of the Pinewood Derby. Cars can be checked and a practice run down the track can be made.
Set up begins at 10am. Check-in begins by 11am (we'll start checking in sooner if we're ready). Pinewood Derby Kicks off at 11:30pm.

We have annual fall and spring family campouts at White Memorial Preserve.
In August we lead a parade around the Yard Goats stadium, watch a game, then pitch our tents to sleep over right on the field.
We organize a number of hikes and outings throughout the year.
Every January, our Scouts design and race their Pinewood Derby cars.
