PACCAL is proud to once again support Catholic Action of Mary (CAM) for the annual Santacruzan and Flores de Mayo, a beloved Filipino tradition that honors faith, culture, and community.

This enduring partnership has flourished for over a decade, bringing together generations of Filipino-Americans in joyful celebration and spiritual reflection.

Flores de Mayo, or "Flowers of May," is a month-long devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, celebrated with daily offerings of flowers, prayers, and hymns. It is a cherished expression of Filipino Catholic identity, especially among young children and families.

The highlight of the celebration is the Santacruzan, a grand procession that dramatizes the search for the Holy Cross by Queen Helena (Reyna Elena) and her son, Emperor Constantine. Participants—often dressed in elegant traditional attire—represent biblical and historical figures, saints, and Marian titles in a colorful pageant of faith and beauty.

Together, PACCAL and CAM continue to foster pride in our cultural roots while nurturing spiritual values and unity in the Filipino-American community.
