On Sunday, March 15th, the OSMHP community gathered to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and the arrival of Spring with our festive “Spudtacular” event. Residents enjoyed hearty baked potatoes loaded with every imaginable topping, creating a fun and delicious meal shared among friends and neighbors.
Our dessert table was a true community effort, filled with treats lovingly prepared by many residents. Among them were homemade banoffees, a traditional Irish dessert that added an authentic—and much‑appreciated—touch to the celebration.
Keeping with the Irish theme, we were treated to outstanding entertainment by two talented young dancers, Ava Miller and Sean Purdy from the Greenway Academy of Irish Dance. Their brilliant step dancing delighted the crowd. These remarkable dancers will be traveling to the World Championships in Chicago this April and to Orlando, Florida in July for the National Championships. A contribution jar was generously filled to the brim to aid with the dancers’ expenses for these competitions.
Everyone who attended received a raffle ticket, and four lucky winners—Al Mitchell, Eva De La Rosa, Lorea Knupp, and Patty Hayes—each went home $25 richer.
It was a joyful afternoon of food, culture, and community spirit, made special by the many hands and hearts that contributed.
