July 4, 2023 Celebration
Oxnard Shores Mobile Home Park
This year’s 4th of July event was celebrated by an amazing number of participants and an all-out display of red, white and blue.
After gathering at the clubhouse for the opening ceremony where we said the pledge of allegiance and sang the National Anthem, the parade of decorated golf carts, along with bikers and parade walkers made their way around the park waving to our neighbors who came out to greet us. After the parade over 150 guests were treated to grilled hotdogs with all the fixings. Watermelon, drinks & ice cream for dessert were also served.
Each holiday 5 homes are recognized for getting into the spirit and decorating their homes. This year, spaces; 112, 45, 134, 98 and 47 were given the “Holiday Spirit Award” for their participation.
Thank you to our teen helpers, Yuri and Yami for all their help with the barbecue and serving up the food. Thank you to our very own Tuesday Night Music Group, Frank DeBiase, Steve West, George Carr and Rachel Karu for treating us to a delightful musical performance!! Wow what a wonderful addition to our event!! Thanks to Morgan Williams for being our parade Grand Marshall. Thank you to everyone for your RSVP and helping us celebrate this year’s 4th of July.
