During the project design period, decisions have been made regarding these activities, such as the number of students who travel to each activity, host in houses or hotels, work with local research centers. At each meeting, time will be reserved for evaluation and for reaching agreements for the improvement of future activities.
Regarding participants selection, all students interested on the project will be admitted, supporting the inclusion of those who have learning difficulties, economic obstacles, and social and integration difficulties.
For the selection of traveling students a system of points will be used to determine the priority to travel. Teachers involved in the project will take a decision regarding scores and selection process. Points will be awarded based on the following weighing:
-Active involvement in the project 5 points.
-Command of written and spoken English 1 point.
-Interest to relate to others and teamwork 1 point
-Availability to host exchange students 7 points (finally is not needed in this exchange)
-Cover letter 1 point
-Students with social and integration difficulties 3 points
-Students who have never experienced an Erasmus+ Mobility 2 points
In addition to these criteria, we will also consider:
-Written commitment of selected students (Imperative)
-Gender parity to host
-Not having important disciplinary problems.
In case of a tie, we will do a public draw. All criteria has been agreed by all teachers involved in the project and it is supported by management team. The selection criteria will be published and made known to the educational community of the centers.
Regarding participants preparation and support, in the sessions prior to each meeting:
-Work on ability to give and receive help, group cohesion, respect, social and communication skills techniques, participation and involvement in the tasks in an equitable manner.
-Announce the roadmap of the meeting.
-Work with the guidelines about the topic prepared by the host partners, that also allow the contents learning for those that are not travelling this time.
-Prepare a presentation about culture and customs of the host country to favor their intercultural preparation.
-To ensure linguistic preparation, English communication skills will be worked on. Also mobilities will be planned so that participants with good language skills are mixed with others.
Regarding participants safety:
-Complete travel insurance will be contracted for each trip and stay.
-All participants will have European Health Insurance Card
-Families must provide their consent, commitment to the project, all necessary official documentation and also allow the publication of photos, images and videos of their children in sites, media or other documents linked to the project.
-The permission of each institution will be requested to each of the trips.
-A safety handbook will be created with relevant information (contacts and links in case of emergency, and risk-prevention guidelines)
