Lucy Harrod
Thank you for having me join Oneroa Kahui Ako as the Oaktree Kindergarten representative.
As a team, we have valued the opportunities we have already had to establish and maintain connections with our three most local primary schools. Oneroa Kahui Ako is a great platform to deepen those connections and establish new relationships with other schools and centres who we have yet to have the pleasure to meet.
By joining Kahui Ako, I am hoping to…
Support the positive education pathways for children/students and their whānau
Connect, and reconnect, with team members from the other schools and early childhood centres.
Explore and add to our kete of knowledge and ideas of any teaching gems that can be used in kindergarten as well as school to bridge the gap.
So, a little bit about me:
I joined the Oaktree Kindergarten whānau at the beginning of 2014 as a new graduate. Before this I was in the finance field and worked in England and South Africa.
The sunny Hibiscus Coast has been my home since 2009 where I live with my now 16 year old daughter Kaylee and my 1 year old kitten Bella. In my spare time I enjoy going for walks, road trips, fishing, and exploring places I haven’t been before.
