Goal: Training students and lifelong learners in EU subjects, through the International Summer School (certified) (Year 1; 112 hours (14 full days), 4 ECTS awarded by NUM, 25 enrolled participants);
Implementation: The International Summer School was organized in July 2022 (Year 1 of the project), 14 full days with 7 fieldwork, 4 ECTS awarded by NUM, 27 attended and 24 graduated.

Introduction:
The National University of Mongolia (NUM), a partner of the URGENT project and the coordinator of the ONE project, both funded by the ERASMUS+ programme of the European Union, is delighted to announce the summer school program for urban resilience, adaptation, and sustainable environmental management. A summer school is jointly organized by two projects, namely Urban Resilience and Adaptation for India and Mongolia - URGENT and European Orientation for Sustainable Environmental Management in Mongolia – ONE projects, in Ulaanbaatar City, Mongolia between 15 and 28 July 2022. During the summer school, the participants will acquire the skills and knowledge about European Union environmental innovation (including management, policy, and financial instruments) and an understanding of the urban ecology-environment, green-blue infrastructure, and nature-based solutions.
The objective of the summer school:
The objective of the summer school is to serve as a training and knowledge exchange opportunity for domestic teaching staff, who will, together with EU colleagues, develop a detailed syllabus and teaching & learning contents, set up case studies, jointly teach, and co-supervise student research groups.

Report:
During summer school, the participants acquired skills and knowledge about European Union environmental innovation (including management, policy, and financial instruments) and an understanding of the urban ecology environment, green-blue infrastructure, and nature-based solutions. The summer school was organized in and out of the city and continued for 14 days. Upon successfully completing 24 participants get certificates issued by the National University of Mongolia with 4 ECTS transferred.

The meeting of partners of the project was organized by the National University of Mongolia, a partner organization of the project, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on July 22, 2022. In the meeting, 5 representatives of 3 partner organizations participated, presented the progress and results of the project, and exchanged opinions on the issues to be considered in the future.
2023 - Report
The meeting of partners of the project was organized by the Mongolian Sustainable Finance Association, a partner organization of the project, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on October 7, 2023. In the meeting, 6 representatives of 3 partner organizations participated, presented the progress and results of the project, and exchanged opinions on the issues to be considered in the future.
2024 - Report
The annual meeting of the project was organized by the Mongolian Sustainable Finance Association, a partner organization of the project, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on June 14, 2024. In the meeting, 6 representatives of 3 partner organizations participated, presented the progress and results of the project, and exchanged opinions on the issues to be considered in the future. During the meeting, a representative of the online course attendees A.Mendjargal who actively participated and fully learned e-courses received an “E-course certificate”.

The National University of Mongolia organized an international open lecture on “Urban nature-based solution, green-blue infrastructure and liveable city” on October 11, 2023 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. In the open lecture, professors from 5 universities of 5 countries (Estonia, Germany, Mongolia, India, Italy) delivered lectures on the following topics, and 56 people from 15 organizations listened and exchanged information. The purpose of this open lecture was to educate the public and spread information about green-blue urban facilities, nature-based solutions, urban planning, and the use of scientific understanding and research to develop livable cities.
5 - International online conference NEWS REPORT
Goal: Advancing understanding of the applicability and transferability of EU environmental innovation in Mongolia through research, this event has been jointly organized with the beneficiary institute.
Implementation: At the conference, 8 speakers from 8 countries (Japan, South Korea, India, Russia, Singapore, Mongolia, Canada, and Estonia) presented their research results, and 38 people attended online.
The international scientific conference "Climate Change and Environment" was first initiated in 2019 and is held once every 2 years. This year, the 3rd conference in a combined format (offline + online) was jointly organized by the Department of Environment and Forestry Engineering of the School of Engineering and Technology, and the project "European Orientation for Sustainable Environmental Management in Mongolia - ONE", funded by the Jean Monnet program of the European Union, on December 8, 2023. At the conference, 8 speakers from 8 countries (Japan, South Korea, India, Russia, Singapore, Mongolia, Canada, Estonia) presented their research results, and the presentations are listed here.

6 - E-courses: NEWS
Goal:
Developing and teaching to degree students: EU sustainable development policies (64 hours / 3 ECTS, 30 students), Green finances; 22 hours / 1 ECTS, 15 students), and Nature-based solutions and territorial resilience (26 hours / 1 ECTS, 15 students);
Supporting informal education and dissemination of knowledge on EU subjects through the development of a package of MOOC-like materials, and web streaming of selected lectures (at least 16 academic hours/year);
Implementation:
Three e-courses were developed for degree students and taught to students and life-long learners in the academic years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.
