Communication, dissemination and visibility of funding

Communication and dissemination activities will start with announcements in corporate media of NUM and MSFA explaining project objectives, deliverables and their value to target groups in Mongolia, and opportunities for promoting Mongolia and its relationship with the EU beyond. The further intention is to secure at least 1 publication a year in corporate outlets of NUM and MSFA informing the audiences about the project progress, in addition to other features announcing specific activities. While NUM will primarily target its faculty, students and alumni, MSFA’s news channel mostly targets representatives of financial sector and business experts and activists exploring green opportunities.

Our intention is to secure at least 2 features in national or regional news outlets reflecting on deliverables and events, and highlighting the project as an opportunity for successful utilisation of EU innovation. This channel will primarily target general public and policy making communities, who are usually attentive to such news media.

The key communication channel is the project website that will be set up by January 2022. It will contain full information on the project, its background and need assessment and objectives, as well as deliverables and links to external resources and e-learning, and news updates and event announcements. The website will include video presentations of the project by its key staff members in English and Mongolian. Videos by project beneficiaries, such as students and stakeholder representatives will be added in the course of the project. The website will be helped by a dedicated FB group that will have similar contents, yet more focusing on student and NGO audiences, and also pursuing community-building objectives.

We expect a major dissemination impact from the Summer School and the recruitment campaign, as summer schools is a much appreciated learning format in Mongolia that attracts attention from general public. On the recruitment stage the information will be circulated through all the relevant FB communities, mail serves and corporate media, while on the preparation stage we will approach all the relevant actors to inquire about their interest or support, such as participation in teaching, hosting student projects, responding to interview or data sharing requests etc. This should generate substantial interest and secure the involvement of those actors to the ONE’s community.

ONE’s e-learning contents (to be hosted by NUM and MSFA e-learning systems) will serve as important dissemination channels on its own, as it will showcase the contents, vision and analysis of the project in an easy-to-digest format to broad potential audience. All the other project dissemination channels will be vigorously used to promote our e-learning products. E-learning contents hosted by MSFA will mostly target financial sector, export-oriented business and national environmental and development agencies, while NUM e-learning will mostly address students and academics at NUM (outside partner departments) and other Mongolian universities, as well as planners and NGO communities.

The academia-praxis workshop and roundtable (early in the Year 3, at least 25 participants) is a dedicated dissemination activity presenting to (mostly) academic and broader stakeholder communities the outcomes of our research and present our educational offer. The event will be broadly promoted on the stage of participants’ recruitment (partly in will be open call, and partly solicited), and then reported to project and corporate media. In addition to dissemination objectives, the event will also serve QA purposes, with a feedback from participants being used for enhancing the curricula and academic papers.

The dedicated EACEA platform as well as other means provided by EACEA and the EC Delegation to Mongolia will be explored to ensure that these dissemination channels are used to their full extent.

The visibility of EU funding will be ensured through the consistent use of Erasmus+ and project logos as well as standard acknowledgements and disclaimers on all the materials and information notes related to the project, including the website, FB group, e-learning contents etc. A full ONE visual identity kit, including the project logo, templates for ppt slides and a banner will be prepared by March 2022. The templates will be used for all the learning and information materials, while the banner will be present at all the events, meetings and teaching sessions associated with the ONE. All the academic publications will contain a full acknowledgement to the ONE and related EU co-funding. The EACEA information kit will be consulted for latest approved versions of acknowledgements.
