THE MINISTRY OF LECTORS

Proclaiming the Scripture readings at Mass so that the faithful can both hear and understand is an essential part of the liturgy. Lectors allow God to use their voices to communicate with the assembly. This ministry keeps alive the memory of how God has acted from age to age throughout all of salvation history. If God has given you this gift—a strong voice, clarity with words, and a love for Scripture— we invite you to share your talents and interest with our faith community and become a lector!

Our parishes particularly welcome students of high school age to join our ministry team as lectors at weekend Masses. Please call your parish office to let us know of your interest.
