We are in need of altar servers, lectors, and extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist for all Masses in both churches. Please contact your parish office to let us know of your interest, and we will schedule training sessions!
The 300 Club Fall Fundraiser sponsored by the Holy Name Society and Playground Association will begin on Sunday, October 5. Tickets are $10 for 5 weekly drawings with 4 prizes each week. Tickets will be mailed and distributed to all members. Returns can be through collection basket or to Rick Sabato at Sack’s Tailor Shop. Parishioners can also purchase by calling Jim Colangelo at 570-342-2655.
October 19 is World Mission Sunday!
Every parish across the globe joins together for the only worldwide collection mandated by Canon Law. Your offering provides hope where despair too often dominates—through the building of churches, formation of seminarians and religious sisters, healthcare clinics, and Catholic schools. Together, we share in that mission by ensuring that no one is excluded from the invitation to encounter Christ.
Visitation of the BVM Church will host BINGO BONANZA on
Sunday, October 19, 2025 in the parish center located at 625
Dundaff Street, Dickson City, PA. Doors open at 12:00 PM &
games begin at 2:00 PM. Admission is $30 in advance & $35 at
the door. Join us for raffles, specials, food, beverages, & fun!

CASH BINGO for PRINCE OF PEACE PARISH, OLD FORGE is

The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Joseph Marello Parish is
hosting a Fall Craft Fair on Saturday, November 8 from 10am to
3pm in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Center at 237 William
Street in Pittston. A great variety of vendors will be onsite with an
assortment of homemade and craft goods in our beautiful parish
hall. Lunch items will also be available for purchase from our
kitchen. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please
contact Pattie Gregorio at craftypattiecf@gmail.com to register.
ATTENTION, YOUNG ADULTS!
All young adults who have finished college or trade school or have entered the job market should no longer be receiving children’s envelopes. Once a young adult has turned 21, he or she should call the office and register as an adult parishioner. Even if you continue to live in your parents’ home, you should still be registered as an adult parishioner on your own.
ATTENTION, FUTURE BRIDES AND GROOMS
Please contact the church as soon as possible when planning your wedding! Too often, couples want to book the reception hall before doing anything else. Diocesan policy is that the couple must meet with the priest at least 6 months before a contemplated marriage. And it happens at times that the sacrament cannot be celebrated on the date that has been chosen, either because there is already a wedding scheduled that day, or the priest is unavailable, or there needs to be more time for the sacramental preparation. Before any date for a wedding can be given, the couple must meet with the priest, so please be mindful of this before booking any reception hall!
