February is Society Dues Month!
Altar & Rosary and Holy Name Societies have always been important organizations in both of our parishes. These groups do a tremendous job in supporting our parishes' outreach to the needy and in coordinating various activities that help us to connect socially and spiritually, and they assist the pastor in many ways that benefit our faith community. Any member of our parishes, sixteen years of age or older, is eligible for membership in our Altar & Rosary or Holy Name Society. Annual membership dues are $5. SS. Anthony & Rocco Parish envelope users may use the "Society Dues" envelope in the February packet to join or renew membership. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parishioners and all parishioners who contribute online can use the form below to become a member.
Please consider joining these wonderful organizations that add so much to the life of our faith community!

The Paschal Candle is the largest and most beautiful candle in the church. It is blessed at the Easter Vigil and its light pierces the darkness, representing Christ, the Light of the world. At baptism it is lit to show the light of Christ that will lead the new Christian through life, and it is present at the head of a casket or next to an urn to remind us that Christ has conquered the darkness of death. If you would like to donate the new Paschal Candle for St. Mary’s Church in memory of a deceased loved one, please contact the OLMC Parish Office.
ST. ANTHONY’S MEMORIAL PARK
Graduation will be here before we realize it! St. Anthony’s Memorial Park is taking reservations for the rental of the pavilion for graduation parties as well as any other event you have planned for the 2026 season. Rental cost is $300 for the day. If interested, please call Mike Angerson at 570-637- 1376 to reserve a day.
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A LITURGICAL MINISTER?
We are in need of altar servers, lectors, and extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist for all Masses in both churches. Please contact your parish office to let us know of your interest, and we will schedule training sessions!
ATTENTION, YOUNG ADULTS!
All young adults who have finished college or trade school or have entered the job market should no longer be receiving children’s envelopes. Once a young adult has turned 21, he or she should call the office and register as an adult parishioner. Even if you continue to live in your parents’ home, you should still be registered as an adult parishioner on your own.
ATTENTION, FUTURE BRIDES AND GROOMS
Please contact the church as soon as possible when planning your wedding! Too often, couples want to book the reception hall before doing anything else. Diocesan policy is that the couple must meet with the priest at least 6 months before a contemplated marriage. And it happens at times that the sacrament cannot be celebrated on the date that has been chosen, either because there is already a wedding scheduled that day, or the priest is unavailable, or there needs to be more time for the sacramental preparation. Before any date for a wedding can be given, the couple must meet with the priest, so please be mindful of this before booking any reception hall!
