Reading Kickoff: Creme Betweens subteam-X & Meats by Dre subteam-X present Design of Everyday Things (by Donald Norman) Chapters 1 and 2. The class will read this by Friday.
Status Check: You have collected inspirational designs, you have identified people to talk to about your project, you will have data. You can do numerous things to synthesize it
Review: For your Needs Analysis assignment, you may want to consider creating some of the following artifacts. Refresh yourselves on the terms below or ask instructors, then decide upon which are useful for your team:
- Design Tools: personas, concept models, goals, task decompositions, lexicons, experience maps
- Contextual Inquiry Models: flow models, sequence models, artifact models, physical models, cultural models
- Charting a Path Forward: affinity diagramming, card sorting, selection matrices
