Our Jingle
As part of our effort to help, we created a jingle to raise awareness. Caleb wrote the chorus for our jingle, and we started with these words: "Ocean Savers, making waves, seeing trash that pollutes is not okay, from the shore, to coral caves, future bright in ocean ways." We practiced and then presented the jingle during the Spellbound assembly. The assembly was for students in Grades 3 to 8, and we were excited to share our message about keeping the oceans clean. It was a fun way to encourage everyone to help protect the environment!
What we learnt
We learned a lot about how to spread awareness about plastic pollution. By creating the lyrics for our jingle, we also discovered more about how plastic pollution harms the environment. We learned that plastic can hurt animals, damage ecosystems, and make our planet sick. Writing the jingle helped us think of creative ways to share this important message. It was fun to work together and make something that could teach others about the need to keep our planet clean and safe. The jingle is a reminder for everyone to care about the Earth and take action to reduce plastic pollution.
