The Writing Picasso's

Art should be experienced in its most raw form: hands on, nonjudgmental, and nonrepresentational. Writing in the classroom should be that as well. The Meaning of Art as viewed by various philosophers: Tolstoy, Hegel, Wittgenstein, and Maritain claims “art is an external manifestation by means of lines, colours, movements, sounds or words of emotions felt by man.”

Pablo Picasso is always the first artist introduced in my art education class, the second in the beginning of the new school year. This is how I want to ease my young artist into young authors, you know my Writing Picasso's! Just like cubism, writing is not done in one way but in many ways and seen from various point of views via the writer and the reader.

Being that I am a purist this paper dug a whole in my art heart. However, it gave me the strength to see both sides of the writer's fence. I have learned much in writing this argumentative paper; but, always know I am an art purist; heart, mind, body and soul.
