Audrey A. Combs-Long (Co-Lo)

Welcome to my NWIWP SI18 page!

I am a twenty-two year veteran English teacher at North Newton High School in Morocco, Indiana. I am proud of my school and my students and my years spent enlightening students to the world of writing. I am also a Spartan to the core and cannot fathom teaching at another school.

About my name....~sigh~ I married late in life and decided to hyphenate my last name since most students knew me by Combs (and I have tons of Spartan gear with my maiden name on the back). I had to compromise. Hence, Co-Lo was born.

I graduated high school from NN and earned my Bachelor's in English at PNW (PUC) in 1995. I taught AP Language and Composition but now focus on CEP (Concurrent Enrollment Program) English 104 and 231 through PNW. My main focus is writing.

This is a picture of my classroom. Past students loved reading certain literature enough they painted murals on my back wall. I am still waiting for some talented student to paint The Crucible.......

Since I have you all here, I would like to introduce you to my other websites. If you click on the links below, you will be directed to said websites. I have been working on and tweaking these sites for four years now, so they are loaded with goodies. Feel free to take what you want. The first site is for AP/CEP and the second is for 12CP, 11 Honors, and 11CP.

I cannot express the impact this class had on me. I highly suggest taking Summer Institute. Sure, your booties will go numb sitting, but the information and the bonding that occurs far exceeds a sore derriere.
