Cord Requirements

CSUF NSSLHA presents cords to its graduating members according to the following guidelines:

● A member must be active for both Fall and Spring of their Senior year or 3 out of 4 semesters during their Junior and Senior year. This is in accordance with NSSLHA bylaws and no exceptions can be made.

● It is the responsibility of the graduate to alert the Membership Chair that they are graduating during the semester they plan to graduate. (Example: If you plan to graduate May of 2014, you must alert the Membership Chair during the Spring 2014 semester, not Fall 2013)

● Cords are given at the End of the Year Banquet in the Spring. If a member graduates during the Fall semester, they will receive an invitation to attend the banquet in the Spring to receive their cord whether they plan to walk at graduation or not.

● Cords are also given to post-bacc students who have maintained their active membership status.

● If a member is not able to attend the banquet to receive their cord, it is their responsibility to make other arrangements to pick up their cord before commencement ceremonies.
