Hi, I am Nathan Pinnello, a Game Design major at High Point University in North Carolina. I grew up in Illinois and attended Montessori schools through eighth grade, after which I attended Benet Academy for high school. I have always had a love of writing, but not the cookie-cutter, stale writing found in school. Instead, I enjoy creative writing where entire worlds can be formed from one person's mind. I love creating, whether it be artwork, stories, or music; it all seems so natural. I hope to develop and improve my skills to be able to create my own manga and write storylines for games.
Furthermore, I want to use my love of writing in conjunction with game design. The narrative of games is vital to a game's success in a lot of cases, and, in my mind, it is the best way to tell a story, being both interactive and engaging. It is the best way for people to truly live in and experience the world that you create. I have been inspired by some of my favorite games and stories to deliver more thrilling adventures for people to experience.
Throughout much of high school, I ran a YouTube and Twitch channel, providing me with in-depth community management, video editing, and self-motivation skills that have stuck with me into college. The time I spent as a content creator helped with my public speaking as well. Although I no longer upload content, I am still capable of working with all sorts of video software.
I ran the YouTube channel for about two years, and the Twitch channel for about three.
